The store used a Product Variation Listing App that displays product variants in a table instead of dropdowns.
The app allows search, sorting, custom columns, and quick add-to-cart/quote from the variant table.
This became the foundation for creating a bulk ordering experience.
Problem
Industrial buyers needed to order multiple variants in bulk, but the traditional PDP was built for single-product purchases.
This created friction:
- Slow variant comparison
- Repetitive add-to-cart process
- No easy way to request bulk quotes
Goal
Turn the PDP into a fast, frictionless bulk ordering interface for repeat B2B buyers.
Solution
We redesigned the PDP into a single-page bulk ordering experience.
Key changes:
- Replaced variant dropdown with a table-based variant listing
- Enabled multi-variant selection with quantities
- Introduced Add to Quote as the primary CTA
- Added dynamic volume-based pricing
- Included search and sorting for faster variant discovery
The PDP now works more like a procurement dashboard than a traditional product page.
