We implemented a “Make to Order” automation feature for a fashion brand’s Shopify store to address lost sales due to out-of-stock products. Previously, customers would see an “Out of Stock” label, which led to a poor user experience and missed revenue opportunities.

Our solution replaced the default out-of-stock status with a “Make to Order” button, allowing shoppers to place orders even when inventory was unavailable.

These orders triggered backend workflows to initiate production, enabling just-in-time fulfillment. The automation also included custom pricing and order tagging for operational clarity. As a result, the client was able to retain customers, reduce bounce rates, and optimize their supply chain more effectively.
